What is it like? A Barolo will always have a steely character. In the hands of Negretti it carries an elegance. Bricco Ambrogio, the best part of the hill, produces a more forceful wine with fuller body than other Barolos from Negretti.
How to serve? To allow our taste buds to better appreciate a Barolo, drink it with food (except seafood!). We suggest grilled red meat, or poultry in a rich sauce.
Also very important is to let the Barolo breathe, so open 2 hours ahead. Serve at 16 degrees C.

The soil composition also gives more freshness, floral and fruity notes, making this Barolo Rive the easiest to appreciate.
How to serve? To allow our taste buds to better appreciate a Barolo, drink it with food (except seafood!). Vintage 2012 is slightly young to most people, but if you like freshness in Barolo, give it a try. This will go well with grilled steak and Iberico pork chop, or lamb rack. Open at least 2-3 hours ahead and serve at 16 degrees C.

Mirau is from two parcels in La Morra which has a higher composition of sand amongst the clay-calcareous marl. It has more elegance and carries more spicy notes like corriander and curry. A "quieter" sibling of Bricco Ambrogio.

What is it like? A Barolo will always have a steely character. In the hands of Negretti it carries an elegance. This Barolo comes from a blend of the various Cru of Negretti’s Property: “Bricco Ambrogio” in Roddi, “Rive” and “Bettolotti” in La Morra. It is “a team play” as the Negretti brothers brilliantly put it.

What is it like? Made solely of cabernet sauvignon and only in good vintage, "Alexander" will be a familiar friend to most, yet not at all the same. It has the signature black currant aromas and a hint of tar. On palate is where it tastes very different (to, hm, the famous French left bank wines.). It has a clean-cut, lean body that makes the black currant more distinct, and very approachable as the tannins are finer. Drink with your favourite ham or air-dried beef, a lasagne, or more tender meat dish such as braised lamb shrank. Open at least an hour ahead and serve at 16-18 degrees.

We suggest: the high acidity and moderately rich flavours makes it a good companion to roast meat (try Chinese roasted pork) or cheesy vegetarian dish. Served at 15-17 degrees C.
Negretti skillfully crafted an elegant representation of this international grape variety on Barolo soils. Nearly golden in glass, with a rich fruity bouquet of stone fruits and flowers, this "grandfather's" favourite wine is well balanced in freshness and roundness, making it a great companion for any seafood dishes (cold or hot) or even fatty dishes of white meats.
Serve at 10-12 degree C.
This is the first vintage of the first Rosé from Negretti, who is ever elegant and meticulous in crafting their range of Barolos and it Chardonnay. Not all rosés are the same. The traits of Nebbiolo are there, in a light hearted and youthful style. Served chilled (i.e. keep in the fridge or in a bucket of ice).
