What is it like? It has the acidity (aka freshness) of Barbera, with the red plum notes being very juicy and fruity. It is made to be an intense red with ageing potential, so vintage 2016 is young and it will become more complex in the next 6 to 10 years.
It was a search for Timorasso, a lesser known white gem in the province of Alessandria in Piedmont, that has brought us to La Colombera. We then found the other wines that La Colombera makes are equally stunning and so we have brought here Elisa, the namesake wine, and Bricco Bartolomeo together with the Derthona (the 100% Timorasso white).
